Each February, the American Dental Association (ADA) sponsors National Children’s Dental Health Month<\/a> to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. This month-long national health observance brings together thousands of dedicated dental professionals, health care providers and others to promote the benefits of good oral health to children and adults, caregivers, teachers and many others.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s campaign slogan is \u201cSugar Wars S<\/span>paceship<\/a>” \u2013 the USS SweetSwatter \u2013 which is equipped with toothbrush swatters, fighting against the Sweet Tooth Invaders for good oral health!<\/p>\n

Developing good habits at an early age<\/a> and scheduling regular dental visits helps children to get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums. By maintaining good oral health through brushing, flossing, and eating, healthy parents and kids can defeat the effects of sugar \u2014 together we can win the battle against sugar!<\/span><\/span>
