At Roselle Park Dental & Implants, we’re proud to feature LANAP (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure) as a state-of-the-art method for treating periodontal (gum) disease. This modern laser is a big improvement over the traditional tools, allowing our doctors to not only selectively remove diseased areas of tissue, but also encourage the growth of healthy tissue as a replacement! The treatment process is also much more minimally invasive as a whole, featuring the following improvements:

• The height of the gum tissue around the teeth is preserved at a much greater level.
• Uncomfortable post-operative symptoms (oral swelling, inflammation, bleeding, sensitivity, etc) are greatly reduced, and patients are likely to recover from the service at a much greater speed.
• Sterilization is instant with the LANAP laser, virtually eliminating the need for sutures.
• Instead of multiple, time-consuming appointments, patients can be finished with their care in a much swifter timeframe, allowing them to return to their regular routine faster.

How does LANAP work? It’s simple – one of our doctors will use the laser to eliminate infected gum tissue that has pulled away from your tooth roots. After getting rid of calculus deposits, a second pass with the laser eliminates remaining bacteria and jumpstarts the regeneration process. In many cases, LANAP can rescue natural teeth that would have otherwise required extraction down the road!
